Pathways to Speech and Reading LLC is a private clinic located in Broomfield, Colorado. Services are provided by a speech language therapist with 22 years experience, for children ages 3 through 14, to strengthen speech, language and reading skills. We build fundamental literacy skills, as reading is a skill that can be taught with a comprehensive reading program.

This clinic is dedicated to providing effective, quality interventions, with one-on-one therapeutic instruction, in a caring, supportive and fun environment to increase children’s skills.  Parents are valued, vital partners in the therapeutic process working as a “team” with the speech language therapist.

WHAT IS A SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPIST?

A speech language pathologist, also known as a speech language therapist, has a master’s degree with the education, training and clinical skills to help children in developing and/or improving speech, language, and reading skills. We are speech, language and reading specialists.

READING INSTRUCTION PROGRAM: 

WE PROVIDE READING INSTRUCTION FOR CHILDREN HAVING DIFFICULTY ACQUIRING READING SKILLS USING LINDAMOOD BELL LEARNING PROCESSES, WITH ONE-ON-ONE INTENSIVE SKILL BUILDING IN THE FUNDAMENTALS OF READING,SPELLING AND COMPREHENSION. LINDAMOOD BELL IS A HIGH QUALITY, EVIDENCE-BASED, STRUCTURED MULTI-SENSORY READING REMEDIATION PROGRAM. READING IS A LANGUAGE BASED PROCESSING SKILL AND AS A SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST, I AM UNIQUELY QUALIFIED TO ASSIST CHILDREN WHO NEED TO ENRICH THEIR READING SKILLS. DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE DIFFICULTY RHYMING WORDS, DECODING, READING FLUENTLY OR COMPREHENDING WHAT WAS READ? Children with a family history of dyslexia, or children with weak speech, and language skills are at an increased risk of having difficulty learning to read, and will benefit from a reading remediation program with explicit reading instruction. Children can be taught the foundational skills for reading at any age, however, reading intervention begun early at four, five, or six years of age, will prevent frustration and discouragement that can accompany a weakness in learning to read.
